In Episode 4 of SPIRIT Conversations, Mike Risk sits down with Aldrin, Brendon P and Jeremy Boon to look back at the people, music and ideas that helped shape one of Singapore’s most important clubbing eras. Across four parts, they revisit the story of Zouk and Velvet Underground, from the records that became unlikely anthems and the philosophy behind breaking new music, to the sound system, dancefloor culture and the changing relationship between DJs and audiences. It is a conversation about much more than nostalgia. It is about how a scene was built, what made it matter, and what house music culture can still learn from it today.
